The following checklist will be used as a helpful guide 

in coordinating with Chaplain Claudia as she crafts your customized wedding ceremony. 

 Because every couple and ceremony are unique, the list and order may vary some. 

 Feel free to contact Claudia with any questions you may have.

FIRST MEETING (at time of inquiry/booking:

☐Get to know Claudia, ask any questions you may have about the ceremony & what she will handle

☐Discuss the size, location, and style of the wedding

☐Discuss your preferences for ceremony (ex. traditional vs. contemporary, religious/spiritual vs. secular)

☐Begin to discuss elements of ceremony that you wish to include

☐Begin to discuss whether you want to use traditional vows, select from more contemporary vows, or write your own

☐Discuss pricing; $500 non-refundable retainer will hold your date; 50% of remaining balance due 90 days before wedding ; remaining balance due 30 days before wedding.

BY EMAIL BETWEEN MEETINGS:

☐ "Whole-Hearted Welcome" initial questionnaire

☐ Relationship Questions (for each member of couple to answer)

☐ "People & Places of Wedding" questionnaire 

☐ Email with final reminders

SECOND MEETING (3-4 months before wedding)

☐Bring any questions about ceremony, rehearsal, and what Claudia will handle

☐Provide final count of guests for wedding, number in wedding party, times of wedding & rehearsal

☐Finalize details of family attending wedding, seating, wedding party, readers, etc.

☐Discuss preferences for vows; begin selection or process of writing vows

☐ Discuss songs, readings, and rituals/creative elements to be included in ceremony

☐Discuss logistical details of ceremony, and any materials that will be needed

☐Discuss requirements and timing of getting marriage license

☐ Claudia will email any remaining decisions and provide due date

8 WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING, YOU WILL:

 ☐ Email  final decisions/information for the ceremony (i.e. songs, readings, rituals, etc.) and vows (selected or personally written).

6 WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING:

☐ Claudia will email you the DRAFT copy of the Ceremony Script for your review. You will have 2 weeks to review it and make any changes.

BEFORE REHEARSAL, YOU WILL:

☐ Obtain Marriage License

☐Bring Marriage License to Rehearsal

AT THE REHEARSAL:

☐ Run the Rehearsal in coordination with couple and any wedding/venue coordinators

AT THE WEDDING:

☐ Arrive early, set up, coordinate with venue staff, DJ, photographers, etc.

☐ Set the tone for an enjoyable wedding; ensure any last minute ceremony snags are handled with grace

☐ Perform an amazing wedding ceremony and legally marry you!

AFTER THE WEDDING:

☐Complete and mail the marriage certificate on the first business day after wedding (usually Monday)

☐ Make a photocopy of marriage license and mail to you

☐ Mail you a keepsake copy of ceremony script

☐ Send you an email with links to review her work, a survey about how you found her, and encouragement to brag about her by word-of-mouth. I’d really appreciate your help with any or all of these! Thx!!
